A family business is celebrating after 25 years of helping disabled people with mobility.
Founder Grahame Partridge originally worked as a senior member of Remploy, a company that employs disabled people, before starting Alphamarque from scratch in 1991.
The mobility specialist provides a range of products including stair lifts, mobility scooters, walking aid and footwear for elderly and disabled customers.
The company opened its first shop in the Galleria Outlet Centre in Hatfield in 1997 after the launch of its mobile showroom business in 1991.
Over 25 years, the company now trades in St Albans and Colchester and all Alphamarque shops are easily accessible to customers.
Mr Partridge said: βIt was my knowledge from working with disabled employees over the years that was combined with my ambition to run a business.
"We treat customers as we would like to be treated ourselves offering good advice and service at all times. Sympathetic selling sums up how we approach our customers.β
