Three cars were involved in a crash this morning.
A Vauxhall, Skoda and Suzuki Swift crashed into each other at around 9.15am at the junction of Cross Lane in St Albans Road, in Harpenden.
A woman was believed to be trapped inside her car and fire were called to assist as smoke was coming out of the cars.
One woman in her 50s was treated at the scene for chest pain and was taken by ambulance to Watford General Hospital. Her condition is not believed to be life threatening.
The road was closed for about 30 minutes but now it is reopened.
