A man was left with a fractured jaw following an argument at a kebab shop in Harpenden.

A second man was punched in the head following the verbal altercation at the Harpenden Grill and Kebab Shop in Station Road.

The assaults happened on Sunday, January 15 between midnight and 12.30am after the two men disputed payment with shop staff.

A 34-year-old man from Harpenden has been arrested on suspicion of ABH and GBH, and is currently on police bail until March 23.

Detective Constable Courtney Turner said: “Although we have made an arrest, we would still like to speak to any witnesses who were in the kebab shop that night. If you were there or have any information about the assaults, we would like to hear from you.”
