A ceremony to remember over-seas soldiers who have given their lives will be held on Sunday, April 30.

The service will be held by Canon Rev Tony Hurle at St Paul’s Church, Blandford Road at 3pm to remember ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) Day.

ANZAC Day is a public holiday in Australia and New Zealand to recognise the sacrifice made by these soldiers.

There are 177 graves of soldiers and airmen (including two women) from around the world who died as a result of injuries from military conflict in Hatfield Road cemetery.

Representatives from the British, Irish and Commonwealth Armed Forces will join local dignitaries in the commemoration.

Members of the public are welcome to attend and refreshments will be provided in the church hall after the service.
