Drivers are advised to find alternative routes after a burst water pipe caused a road to close.
The road between the mini-roundabout in Mile House Lane, in St Albans and the bridge in Napsbury Lane was shut last night and according to Affinity Water, it is likely to remain closed until tomorrow.
The company has apologised for any inconvenience caused and said that the pipe has now been repaired.
However, the burst caused a large amount of damage to the road and reinstatement work is now under way.
