Men who grabbed and punched a woman in the face are wanted by the police.

The victim was attacked when walking along Alban Way, near the Charrington Place junction on Thursday, June 8 at around 5.10pm.

The woman in her 20s managed to run away from the attackers who are being investigated for assault.

The first attacker is described as a stocky white man aged 18 to 22 with short blonde hair and may have a lightning bolt shaved into the side of his hair. He was wearing a dark blue tracksuit.

The second attacker is said to be a 6ft tall black man between 18 and 22 years old, wearing a dark blue tracksuit and carrying a black Nike bag.

Police officers from Hertfordshire Constabulary are appealing to any witnesses to come forward.

Detective Constable Tony Kong said: “The victim was understandably left shaken by her ordeal but thankfully she was not injured.

“This is an area that is often busy with foot traffic so I am appealing for anyone who may have seen what happened or has seen two men matching the description in the area to get in touch.”
