IF you've got an old banger cluttering up your driveway, then why not donate it to Hertfordshire firefighters?
The county's fire and rescue service is renewing its appeal for old unwanted vehicles to use in their road traffic collision training.
Vehicles should be taken to the service's training centre with their V5 logbooks to ensure that they can be officially scrapped through the DVLA when the Service is finished with them.
Training centre manager Dave Harding said: "Its a great help if people give us their unwanted cars as it helps us to practise our road traffic collision training.
"We may be able to pick up cars that aren't driveable, so I'd ask people to give us a call."
To get rid of your old vehicle, simply call ahead on 01438 847320 and then take it to the Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service Training Centre in Longfield, Hitchin Road, Stevenage.
