An Augmented Reality (AR) Easter trail has been launched at 10 locations throughout St Albans.
From today (Friday, March 24), smartphone users will be able to enjoy 'Springtopia' by scanning QR codes at popular locations throughout the city.
Springtopia will tell the tale of animals taking part in an annual art competition.
Those who take part will be able to visit all of the eggs on the trail, and guess which animal has painted each one.

By scanning the QR codes for each egg, the corresponding animal will be revealed.
Selfies can then be taken, wearing the animal's costume, thanks to Augmented Reality.
Once completed, the trail can be downloaded as a free e-book.
Prizes will also be given out, including a family table at The Odyssey cinema, treats from Hi-Tea and a month’s Gymboree membership.
The trail has been organised by St Albans BID (Business Improvement District).
The organisation's marketing, communications and destination manager Kate Cohen said: “St Albans BID is thrilled to launch the first of many interactive trails which we’ve programmed to help local people and visitors enjoy our vibrant city.
"With QR codes located in shops, the trails will showcase our incredible retail offering, and highlight our restaurants and cafes – while codes in visitor attractions will help people find new favourite places to visit.
"St Albans is an incredible city with history, beauty and culture on every corner and we hope this free Easter trail helps people get out and about and enjoy everything that St Albans has to offer.
“We have funded several engaging AI trails that will launch throughout 2023 - people can look out for the second trail in May which will be in celebration of the King’s Coronation, and we also have a spooky trail in time for Halloween.”
