MIK KAMINSKI, the man who brought his classical violin skills to rock music with the Electric Light Orchestra in the 1970s, will perform in St Albans on Thursday evening.

With another rock violinist and a vocalist, he will bring his latest musical project to The Horn in Victoria Street

He said: “‘We have so far only done one full tour with this new project, we kicked it off last summer at the Acoustic Festival of Britain at Catton Hall in Derbyshire, and it was received really well.

“I really do like the whole ethos of just stripping down to two vocals and two instruments. Playing smaller intimate venues can sometimes be more exciting that playing the larger theatres and stadiums. There is nowhere to hide - you can see the whites of people’s eyes in the audience.”
