TRAFFIC was brought to a standstill on the A1(M) following an accident earlier this morning.
One car is believed to have been involved in a collision on the southbound carriageway near junction one (M25/St Albans).
Motorists were halted while the car was recovered and there is still congestion on the motorway back to junction two (Welham Green).
