A London Colney villager has attacked the county council for failing to support the fight against the railfreight project.
Ken Peak of Richardson Close told the hearing: “Hertfordshire Highways have been asked for help on several occasions, but seem unwilling to complpy or admit problems exist.
“If no safeguards can be introduced and enforced then the prospects for a reasonable life here are rapidly fading away.
