THE railfreight scheme will ruin the identity of Park Street, a villager has told the hearing.
Eve Brown said: “There is a real sense of community in Park Street – people talk to each other in the street.
“It has really kept its village identity.
“If this goes ahead it will rip the heart out of our community.”
She said the alternative site of Colnebrook near Slough was much more suitable as there was a good chance train paths would become available there.
