THE noise limits suggested by Helioslough will not be achievable in practice, campaign group Strife has argued.

Helioslough has suggested a planning condition keeping daytime noise at any home to 50 decibels or 60 decibels at night, with higher levels applying while the depot is being built.

Mr Stinchcombe said it was clear from the evidence of noise experts for both Strife and the council that these limits would inevitably be exceeded, and suggested an extra condition requiring Helioslough to demonstrate otherwise.

Mr Kingston did not comment as his own noise expert is due to speak later, and inspector Andy Mead said he would consider the issue.
