STUDENTS from the University of Hertfordshire had a chance to change out of their pyjamas and strut their stuff for a change in a fashion show.

A group of 13 students took part in the show which was organised in conjunction with Fame Online, the university's talent and lifestyle magazine, and fashion retailer Joy, which held the event in their store in The Maltings Shopping Centre, St Albans.

Members of the public had the opportunity to see the students modelling the fashion chain's new winter collection in the Sumner Street branch.

Deji Osobukola, the founder and managing director of FAME Online says: “The fashion show ran smoothly and really astonished all the people who got the chance to see it. This was a great opportunity for students to get a break from studying and do something they are really passionate about.”

Sandeep Mudhar, a third year law student, said: "It was really good, fun and enjoyable. The preparations were hectic but it didn't feel like I was working. It was a great experience and something I would definitely do again given the opportunity."

Students will get another chance to be models for the day early next year when fashion students at the university showcase their own designs on the catwalk.
