SOME residents living in Harpenden have not had their recyclable rubbish collected for as long as five weeks.
Meanwhile it is understood that normal household waste in some areas has not been emptied for three weeks.
St Albans District Council has blamed the snow and icy conditions but residents say they want to know if the council is prepared to break its own rules and clear excess waste which currently lines the roads in some areas of the district.
This morning Review editor Martin Buhagiar was interviewed by radio presenter Nick Ferrari on LBC's breakfast show.
He said: "Readers have contacted us to ask us what is going on and we are trying to find out.
"The snow has played its part and we understand that, but five weeks really is the limit."
It is understood that St Albans District Council refused to join Martin on the show.
