THOUSANDS of pounds' worth of jewellery, which holds sentimental value for its owners, was stolen during a burglary at a Bricket Wood house.

Between 6.15pm and 8.30pm on Monday, March 29, burglars forced their way into the property in Bucknalls Drive.

More than ten valuable items of jewellery and a Compaq laptop were stolen during the raid.

The jewellery included a Bulgari 18ct gold ring with diamonds, an engraved Bulgari gold ring with diamonds, a diamond engagement ring, a yellow gold ring with diamonds set in the band and a one of a kind bracelet with German silver coins attached to the chain.

PC Claire Wright said: “Not only are these items valuable, they hold sentimental value to the victims and they are obviously very keen to get them back.

“The items are quite distinctive and I would like to appeal to anyone who believes they may have been offered these items for sale, to contact police as soon as possible.

“Also, please make contact if you believe you witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area around the times given.”
