A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure following a spate of reported incidents over the weekend.

Police are appealing for witnesses and possible victims to come forward following five incidents of flashing in St Albans this weekend.

Three occurred on Saturday, June 3. The first took place in Townsend Drive at 6.10pm and two shortly after in St Peters Street at 6.10pm and 6.30pm. A man exposed himself to passers by and was seen touching himself inappropriately.

There were two reported incidents on Sunday. The first in The Ridgeway at 11am. Again, the man was seen touching himself inappropriately. Then again on Hughenden Road at 11.23am where a man approached a woman in a car, exposed himself and then walked off.

The man is described as black, with light skin, around 5 foot 10inches tall with a slim build.

DC Gemma Badat at St Albans Police Station said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have seen a man matching this description in St Albans recently, particularly carrying out these acts in the Marshalswick and Jersey Farm areas."
