FOUR local bands will be playing at The Horn on Wednesday to raise money for desperately poor people in the Third World.
Organised by two young St Albans women , Carlien van Heerden (25) and Holly Le Blond (18), the concert is part of a month long national music festival for the charity Oxfam.
Ms van Heerden said: "Oxfam do so much life changing work across the world, and we saw this a great opportunity to raise some money. What better way to do so than by working together with some local bands, getting local people involved and having fun in the process."
Starting at the Victoria Street music pub at 8pm with an entrance price of £5, the performers will be Colour of August, St Albans rockers Kalazar, punk revivalists Fallowfields and I Dream In Colour.
Ms van Heerden said: "I Dream In Colour’s frontman, Richard Judge, tacks his way across rising crescendos with such dexterity that he never abandons a melody for melodrama."
