A LIGHT aircraft is believed to have crash-landed at Panshanger Aerodrome in Welwyn Garden City last week after it overshot the runway.
Fire crews and police were called to the Panshanger Lane airfield at 3.50pm on Friday, April 22, following reports of a light aircraft "in distress" which had landed in a "precarious position".
Nobody was injured or trapped - however residents living in the surrounding area were evacuated from their homes following a fuel spill.
Firefighters, working together with police, began a rescue mission to get the plane back onto its wheels.
