Hundreds of rush hour commuters endured miserable journeys home last night when they were stuck on a train for nearly three hours.
The First Capital Connect from St Pancras stopped near Kentish Town station, north London, at 6.30pm because of a fault with overhead power lines.
It wasn’t towed back to the station until 9.15pm. Passengers complained that they had been left stranded in packed carriages, stuck in a tunnel with no information.
St Albans commuter Nancy Mandizha told the BBC: “We were on the train for around three hours. Everyone was getting very frustrated, especially as the train was overcrowded.
"There was no air conditioning for most of the time we were on the train and we didn't get any water for ages."
FCC says it has launched a full investigation. Were you on the train? Let us know your experiences by commenting below or calling 01923 216372.
