BURGLARS left empty-handed after breaking into a house in Harpenden.
Between 3pm and 4.25pm pm Thursday, May 26, the home in The Warren was broken into through a back patio door.
After unsuccessfully trying to break into a safe, they then left the house.
PC Nina Garrard said: “This is a quiet and friendly cul-de-sac, where everyone is very neighbourly and aware of what is going on.
“While we have done door-to-door, I think there may still be people who may have seen something on the road and we have not spoken to them yet."
