Two employees at a St Albans translation agency will undertake a gruelling three-day trek in Africa to raise money for charity.
Claire Scammell and Donaji Edwins will be conquering Mount Mulanje in Malawi, in October this year, to raise funds for the MicroLoan Foundation.
The MicroLoan Foundation works in sub-Saharan Africa, providing small loans and mentoring to help women start businesses and work their way out of poverty.
Claire explained: "I recently met the people behind MicroLoan and was amazed by the difference they are making to the lives of these women and their families.
"I wanted to shout it from the rooftops, I am honoured to have the opportunity to help."
Both women work at The Language Factory, in Campfield Road, which has given its support by offering to match whatever figure the pair raise for the charity.
Claire will also be taking part in the St Albans half marathon this weekend, to help raise funds.
