4:50pm Tuesday 27th November 2012 in Sport
Harvesters East Under-9s went down 3-2 in a thrilling match against Hadley Wood Foxes.
The side came back from 2-0 down thanks to a goal from Joe-Joe Colman, set up by Owen O’Sullivan. Kai Rajah chipped in the second goal, following a great pass from Joseph Burgess.
Harvesters North Under-10s played some brilliant attacking football against Croxley Panthers and came out 6-2 winners.
The victors’ goals were scored by Tom Platts and Jack McShane, with two apiece, Joe Vance and man-of-the-match Henry O’Connor. Harvesters Under-11 Girls stayed second in the first division with a 1-0 win over Bedwell Rangers.
Great defensive work by the excellent Sian Appleyard kept Bedwell at bay and Rachel Dodd scored the only goal to secure the victory.
The Under-18 Girls were up against a strong Enfield Ladies side in the quarter final of the League Cup and put in a great all-round team performance to win 2-1 after extra time.
The conditions were difficult with water lying on parts of the pitch but the team fought hard and deserved their win. Kris DelGaudio had a fine game back in goal after injury and Sab Monastero marshalled the backs brilliantly.
Two superb goals from Ellie Bergin and Nicola Dark secured the win for the Harvesters.
