Nuffield St Albans squash club claimed a 4-1 win against Potters Bar to seal a historic double as they added the Herts Cup to their Herts Division One Squash League title.

Captain for the evening Ondrej Uherka, Arthur Moineau and Jack Fowler were joined by Tim Bloomer and Pedro Pinto for the final of the Herts Cup.

Uherka was beaten by Youssef Abdala in his contest but Moineau overcame George Willis in his match.

Both Fowler and Pinto secured victories and Bloomer battled to another win to secure the Cup for Nuffield.

First team captain Tom James said: “I have been associated with the club ever since I started playing as a junior and during this time, the club has never been in the position where we are competing for the league and cup.

“To win both is really a dream come true.”
