St Albans Hockey Club ladies moved up to third place in the East of England National League after a 2-1 win against Maidenhead on Saturday.
The side battled to the victory with Great Britain’s Ellie Watton scoring a brace for the victors.
The ladies fourth team also secured three points but had to work hard for their 1-0 win over Saffron Walden.
There was little between the teams but a goal from Sara Robinson handed them a tight success.
The ladies over 45s had a brilliant cup result on Sunday beating Redbridge and Ilford 6-1 with goals from Helen Anton (2), Liz Morgan (2), Lou Jackman and Liz Cleverley.
The men’s fifth team thrashed Bedford 7-0 after Ross Rayner (3), Roshan Baskoran (2), Nigel Sellers and Ben Scott all hit the target.
St Albans' sixth team beat Harpenden 2-0 with goals from Stewart Johnstone and Steve Warr.
The men’s fourth and seventh teams both came away with a point after 2-2 draws against Hertford and Stevenage respectively. Jeneiv Shah and Dave Burns netted for the sevenths.
The men’s eighths team had a convincing 4-0 win against Stevenage after George Turner and Steve Fox both scored a brace. The Centurions beat Richmond Rogues 6-0.
