All in all St Albans Hockey Club enjoyed a fairly successful weekend of fixtures.
The Ladies First team put in a strong performance to beat Northampton Saints 4-0 with the goals coming from Adele Sammons; Kirsty Barber (2) and Bethan Davies.
The second team were unfortunate to fall to a 2-0 defeat to Old Loughtonians, whereas the thirds beat Hertford 3-0 – Sarah Mobbs (2) and Issy Cunningham hitting the goals.
The Men’s First team are still fighting it out at the top of the East of England Premier League despite the 4-2 defeat they suffered at the hands of Old Loughtonians.
The Second team beat Surbiton 4-2, and the Thirds won 5-2 against PHC Chiswick. The Fourths and Fifths both recorded 3-1 victories over Bedford and Bishops Stortford respectively.
Finally, there were more victories for the club as Sixths beat Welwyn Garden City 2-1 and the Ninths team recorded an impressive 6-0 score line against Bedford.
