London Colney A hosted St Ippolyts who ran out 3-0 winners in the North and Mid Herts League.

John Ward netted a brace and Jason Tait was also on target in the convincing win.

Asia started their campaign with a 2-1 home defeat by Wodson Park Seniors. Wodson’s goals were scored by Charlie Cole and Charlie Hoad while Darrin Buttigieg replied for Wodson Park.

Potters Bar Crusaders could only manage a 0-0 with St Albans Wanderers.

Steve Eldridge scored both goals for Warriors XI in their 2-2 draw at City Hearts. City Hearts did not wake up until they were 2-0 down and only astute goalkeeping prevented more damage. However things improved and they pulled one back before the break. A missed City penalty did not help, but Warriors being reduced to ten men did, and the second half was all Hearts pressure. The scores were levelled but City could not take advantage of their extra man. Hearts scorers were Andy Truett and Adrian Cocks.

Global beat local rivals Inn on the Green 4-1 with two goals apiece from John Sheehan and Paul Morgan. Duncan O’Hare replied for Inn on the Green.

Redbourn could not raise a side and conceded the points to Probuild.
