Hatfield's Jackie Bell reached the last 16 in the two wood singles at the national championships.

The team played Potters Bar in the St Albans & District Double Rink winning on the extra end as they won by 13 shots at home and lost by 13 away. It means they will face Harpenden in the final.

After winning 22-13 away at St Albans in the county league on Thursday, Hatfield are now back on top of the league and will play Oakhill in the South Division semi-final.

The men did not fare so well losing to Welwyn & District, Harpenden and Batchwood but returned to winning ways with a victory over Hemel.

The top rink featured Charlie Metcalf, George Graham, Kevin Hull and Roy Edwards.

The team won a mixed home game 86-76 against Bush Hill Park. Kevin Hull represented Hatfield in St Albans & Districts Presidents team against London Scottish played at Townsend with the Presidents Men winning the match.
