London Colney remain third in the South Midlands Premier Division after a 3-1 home win over Wembley on Saturday.

The Blueboys had to do it the hard way though as they came from behind to claim the three points.

The visitors took the lead in the first half when Lee Close sent a header into his own net.

But London Colney drew level just after the half-hour mark when Russell Gallagher released Lee Armitt and he kept his composure to fire past goalkeeper Grigioli Zulmatashvili.

The hosts took the lead just before the break when Stef Garaldes played the ball to Gallagher and he cut in from the left before firing a fierce strike past the keeper.

London Colney extended their lead in the second half when Garaldes again turned provider as his pass set up Armitt for a clinical finish for his 18th goal of the season.

The Blueboys host Hertford Town tonight before travelling to strugglers Colney Heath in the league on Saturday.
