Lazio laboured to a 2-0 home win against relegation threatened Verona on Monday night to revive their Champions League qualification hopes.

Luis Alberto went close to scoring when his right-foot shot from outside the penalty area struck the crossbar.
Immobile turned in a cross from Luis Alberto to make the breakthrough after 55 minutes and then headed a second goal on the hour to take his tally for the campaign to 28 in all competitions.
Simone Calvano went close with a long range effort late on for Verona, who remain second-bottom of the table and five points from safety after a seventh defeat in eight league matches.
