With the first week of the Olympics completed, the games has already been a huge success for team GB, London as a host city, and of course, armchair pundits.

The reaction to the riots in London and other UK cities has prompted widespread dismay, and just because the voices of a few anarchists are loudest does not mean they will prevail...nor be listened to, whatever it is they're trying to say.
It appears the newspaper at the centre of igniting controversies such as the Russell Brand and Jonathon Ross row of indecency, have had a role reversal in the form of Jan Moir's insensitive and unnecessarily insulting article over Stephen Gately's death. Even advertisers want their ads removed from the online article after the social networking site Twitter extraordinarily sparked a reposte from celebrities and 'normal folk' alike.

Financial losses, mass job cuts, UP TO* 50% off sale, customer frustration, stock shortages and staff discomfort. It's all part of Christmas in the Woolworth's house! *note: they've made the "up to" part particularly small on all the signs, so I thought I'd make it more apparent.
