Hundreds of mourners packed into a crematorium for the funeral of a St Albans teen killed when a car crashed into a campervan.

Harley Tobias, 16, was travelling alone in a black Vauxhall Astra that crashed into a parked camper van in Marshal’s Drive last month.

Mourners that included family, friends and members of the wider community completely filled West Herts Crematorium for the funeral on Friday. All wore pink socks in memory of the teen.

Speaking after, Harley's mum Eve said: "Today was very emotional and very sad but truly amazing. To see so many of Harley's friends lining the drive was overwhelming."

Flowers left at the scene during Halloween weekend.

Several officers from Hertfordshire Constabulary also attended to pay their respects.

Following the service, mourners lined Marshal's Drive to light candles.

Karina Barnicoat wrote on a Facebook tribute page to the teen: "It was a beautiful service and celebration of life, I thought your readings and all your bravery was outstanding and Harley would've very proud of you all."

A fundraising group set up by a family friend to pay for the funeral realised more than £2,000.
